Michael
Weinhaus
Mike Weinhaus is the Marketing/Membership Director at Persimmon Woods Golf Club,
a private golf club located in the St. Louis area. Almost 10 years ago Weinhaus, a business
owner decided to change careers. His passion for golf made it an easy decision to choose the golf industry. Mike's
new career path began as a volunteer rules official for professional and amateur golf tournaments. His
qualifications and credentials include PGA-USGA Regular Golf Rules Workshops, in which he received special recognition
for his exam scores. To make it in the golf industry Weinhaus created his own niche by
writing a golf rules comic strip.
In 1999, Weinhaus became the Executive Director of the PGA of
America Gateway Section. He had many accomplishments that brought positive exposure, increased revenue, Section recognition,
and much more. Besides being a business owner for 20 plus years, Mike also held positions as a General Manager,
Director of Golf, and Membership Director of one other St. Louis area country club. His greatest skill is creating relationships
and greatest accomplishment was making his passion his occupation.
Todd Schowalter
Todd Schowalter began his professional
cartooning career at the age of fourteen, when he became the youngest staff editorial cartoonist ever at the St.Louis
Sentinel. Since that time, Todd's work has appeared on T.V. and in newspapers, magazines, books, advertisements, and on greeting cards nationwide.
In 1993, Todd moved
into animation, as well as print. Todd has developed shorts and features for Hanna-Barbera, Saban Entertainment and
Film-Roman Studios.
Todd's three year old comic strip Barcley &
Co. appears in parenting magazines throughout the U.S. In addition, his comic strips The 4th Floor
and The InterPETS (previously distributed by Tribune Media Services) are
now syndicated by Plain Label Press . Todd also provides editorial cartoons and illustrations regularly for
several St. Louis newspapers
Todd is also the owner of The Creative Department, through
which he produces corporate cartoons and commercials for advertisers ( Coca-Cola, Anheuser-Busch, American Airlines
) , publishers ( Simon-Schuster, Prentice Hall ) , and greeting cards (Comstock Greetings),
as well as developing new animation projects.
Todd is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State
University (1988). While there, he was awarded Best Comic Strip in the Nation ( Campus ), by The Society of Collegiate
Journalists and Best Editorial Cartoonist, by The Missouri College Newspaper Association.
Todd
is an active member of The National Cartoonists Society, married, father of two energetic boys, a marathon runner, stand-up
comedian, and proudly holds the title of "World's Greatest Pretzel Eater"!
